Phonics
Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised
We have recently invested in a new scheme to support the learning of phonics and reading within the school called 'Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised' and are really excited to be able to introduce the scheme to all of our children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 initially with a view to rolling this out to the whole school in due course.
It is a very new scheme and was only published in September 2021. All the books are brand new and as a school, we have invested in lovely resources to help motivate and engage the children.
The children have so far responded really well and are engaged and making really speedy progress.
We will also be organising the use of ebooks to support reading and more information about this will follow shortly.
