New Intake Reception 2026

Please note that the closing date for applications to Dorset Council for a primary school place was 15th January 2026.

If you applied by the closing date, you will now know whether you have a place at Radipole. You should receive a letter from the Reception team in a few days' time.

If you have not received a letter by Monday 27th April, please phone (01305 783353), or email Mrs Bowden or Mrs Miller in the office (office@radipole.dorset.sch.uk).

Forms to complete and return

School Admission Form

Once you have received your offer of a place at Radipole from Dorset Admissions, please complete and return the School Admission Form below. Return it by emailing it to Mrs Bowden (lbowden@radipole.dorset.sch.uk), or in person at the office, by Friday 15 May 2026. Paper copies are available in the school office. Do call the school if you need help or advice.

A form for 2026 will be added here soon. Once you have been offered a place, please complete the 2026 form (when it has been added) below. Please complete the form by Friday 15th May. All information goes directly to the Reception teachers.

Welcome to Reception 2026 Parent Form

Talk to Parents and Carers (re New Intake Children Arriving in September 2026)

Wednesday 17^th June at 9.15am-10.30am in the school hall 

(Please note that the school gates will be closed, and only staff vehicles are permitted on the school grounds at this time.)

You are invited to join us for a meeting, where we will share essential information about our routines and give some practical advice on how best to help your child with their transition to school. You will be informed about your child’s class teacher(s) and teaching assistants on that day.

Representatives from other agencies who work closely with the school in support of the pupils will also be present. There will be information about our Breakfast and After School Clubs, Local Food Links information regarding hot lunches, and representatives for school uniform.

Please talk to Mrs Miller at the meeting if you will require Breakfast and/or After School Club access; these sessions will be available for your child from Monday 7^th September. Mrs Miller will explain, at the meeting, how these can become available to you, as you will not be able to book sessions yourself for the first half term.

Please note that it is not appropriate for the children to attend this meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, it would be helpful to send a family member.

Please provide your child’s original Certificate of Birth to share with our wonderful office staff on this occasion if you have not already emailed it to Mrs Bowden with your School Admission Form.

Pupil Premium

Please could all parents read the letter attached below. If you are in receipt of certain benefits, the school can receive extra funding from the Government; this will really make a positive difference to the opportunities and facilities the school can provide. Please use the information in the letter to apply online, as the extra money is very valuable, and the school will otherwise miss out on money it is eligible for. Please note that from September 2026, the Department for Education will introduce new eligibility criteria, which might affect your claim. We will update the information here as soon as we are given guidance.

Meet the Teacher Appointments

There will be an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher before your child starts school.

Dates and times will be available here soon.

This will be for parents/carers and their child to talk to their new teacher. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns or worries, and you can share all the brilliant, unique qualities your child has.

Classroom Visits for Your Child
