Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Reception had an amazing time on their very first school trip today. We went to Maiden Castle Farm and saw tractors, a combine harvester and so many animals. Our highlight was meeting the baby lambs!
What a brilliant way to finish the term. Have a fabulous Easter Holidays everyone and we look forward to welcoming you all back soon.
Crouch Cup winners!!!
For the third year running, a group of 16 Year 5 and 6 swimmers took part in a swimming gala. They competed against 10 other school and came out victorious. Well done to all involved.
And singing... And dancing... And acting. We wish to offer a huge congratulations to all the children who took part in our School-O-Vision Song Contest Production this week. The children and staff have worked tirelessly to create a spectacular performance! The school staff and children have buzzing with congratulations! Another busy week of finishing our narrative writing stories. The children are so creative! We have finished our fractions topic and we enjoyed playing the Pirate Game today. It is so lovely to finish the week giving out so many reading badges! The children deserve a well-earned rest!
Year 6 have had a fantastic time this week making delicious crumbles.
Year 5 have been channelling their inner Antoni Gaudí this week by designing and making their own colourful mosaics. Using 1cm x 1cm coloured paper squares, pupils carefully arranged patterns and images inspired by Gaudí’s vibrant, nature‑influenced style. The children showed fantastic patience and creativity as they pieced together their designs, gradually watching their artworks come to life. The finished mosaics look amazing!
Year 3 have enjoyed making some delicious tomato soup this week! They chopped onions and celery, weighed and measured, stirred and blended brilliantly. Well done to all our budding chefs.
Outside, we planted sunflowers and look forward to planting tomatoes soon. We have enjoyed volleyball and netball in PE, and have been practising our persuasive language in planning a speech by Boudicca to rally the British tribes against the Roman invasion! Well done, Year 3 :-)
This week, we have been super busy finalising our production. We have had lots of rehearsals and the children have worked so hard. Our first performance in front of an audience went very well and we are so excited to show you what we have achieved. No sneak peak pictures, just yet! In addition, our writing in English has been focused on our descriptive writing of character, setting and including dialogue. Our focus in Maths has continued to be fractions including adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. Finally, we have finished our PSHE Rights and Respect topic and our RE topic regarding Christianity and Forgiveness.
It has been a wonderful week in Year 5! The children enjoyed a visit from a special guest who helped them develop their oracy skills, building on their work for The Highwayman performance. They have shown incredible effort as they prepare for their pavilion performance and should feel very proud of themselves.
Both Classes were really interested in the photos Miss Roberts shared from her trip to Kenya and asked lots of thoughtful, insightful questions. A real highlight was reading the letters from the Kenyan children – the excitement in the room was brilliant to see!
Well done, Year 5, for your curiosity, hard work, and enthusiasm!
Well done to our amazing netball team who visited Budmouth Academy to take part on the Area Netball Bee Tournament yesterday.
The team were phenomenal and played the most brilliant netball. They were calm, strategic and speedy, and accurate in super goal scoring; the results speak for themselves!

6 wins and only 1 loss in the Large School pool earned us a runner-up place in the semi-finals to face the winner of the small schools pool - Southill!
It was a superbly well-matched game with determination and incredible team spirit from our players. The final score of Radipole 3 - 4 Southill shows how close it was.
I am beyond proud of the team as they were playing with such amazing skill and confidence and it was fantastic to see their progress and how well they held themselves under pressure.
Well done everyone!
Mrs Hill.
A group of girls from years 4 and 6 took part in a local area football tournament. Throughout the day, they played 12 matches. With over half of the team new to football, they played brilliantly. They played with their heads held high and with positivity, and it was lovely to watch their confidence grow with each game. Well done to everyone who took part; you should feel really proud of yourselves.
