Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.

Tear Two - Adventures into Antarctica.

This week has been full of exciting learning and creativity in Year 2!

Sewing Skills
We have continued to practice our sewing skills and are now using both running stitch and overstitch. Everyone has worked so carefully!

Christmas Play Preparations
We are also continuing to learn our lines and the words to the songs for our Christmas play. It’s lovely to hear all the singing – we can’t wait to share it with you soon!

History Adventures
In history, we’ve had a fantastic time working as if we were part of a museum team. Our job is to create a display all about the famous explorer Ernest Shackleton. We looked at old photographs of Antarctica and made freeze frames of the scenes to figure out what was happening. Using clues from the pictures, we discovered fascinating details about Shackleton’s life and his incredible expeditions.

Geography Adventures

In geography, we have been on virtual fieldwork to Antarctica. We watched films about visiting Union Glacier. We discovered what it is like to stay there.

It’s been a week full of teamwork, creativity, and discovery. Well done, Year 2!
