Year 1 - Looking into the Past
This week, we began learning about two famous nurses from the past: Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. The children explored images to identify which ones were from the past and which were from the present day. They also wrote down some fantastic questions about what they’d like to find out. We hope as our learning continues we will be able to answer these questions together!
As part of our Let’s Explore activities, the children had great fun learning practical skills. They discovered how to tie a bandage and even mastered a simple knot! There were lots of giggles as some of us ended up very well bandaged!
