Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
This week in Year 2, we had a very exciting time following our class pets to discover what they get up to during a busy day at school! We were amazed to find that they started their morning with a big bowl of cornflakes for breakfast. After that, they went on all sorts of adventures!
During assembly, the pets had a great time painting and after that they played hide and seek in the woods. Later on, they somehow managed to sneak into Mrs Hilton’s office and have their very own party! We all agreed that they must have had an amazing day.
The pets also taught us something very useful—how to set a trail in the woods. After learning from them, we had a go at making our own trails for our friends to follow. It was great fun exploring, investigating, and working together.
In science, we carried out an investigation to find the best material for making a winter coat. We talked about how to make our test fair and compared different materials. After testing them carefully, we discovered that fur fabric was the best material for keeping warm.
We also took part in Internet Safety Day, where we learnt about AI and how to stay safe online. Everyone had fantastic ideas and lots of thoughtful discussions. As part of Mental Health Week, we explored friendships, kindness, and activities that help us feel calm and happy.
It has been a wonderful week of learning, exploring, and looking after ourselves and each other.
