Year 3 - a lovely first full week!
Year 3 have been amazing this week! What a busy and productive first full week we have had.
In maths, we have been using base 10 and place value equipment to help us explore place value.
In English, we have explored nouns, verbs and complex sentences using FANBOYS conjunction words and written a super fight scene between a Stone Age child and a bear.
In PE, we have been doing gymnastics and creating sequences of contrasting movements including using shoulder stands.
In art, we have looked at the work of the sculptor Barbara Hepworth and sketched her work in preparation for making our own clay sculptures.
In science, we have been testing the properties of rocks and sorting and grouping them.
Phew! Well done to the children for their hard work :-)
