Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
This week, the children have been exploring different categories of animals, and they’ve had a wonderful time getting hands-on with nature.
They did a pond dipping activity in the school’s (slightly overgrown!) pond. Despite the wild setting, the children discovered several exciting creatures, including some large, slimy newts and speedy little water fleas.
They went bird watching and learnt how important it is to stay quiet and still when observing wildlife. They also took part in an orienteering-style challenge to find pictures of different birds hidden around the grounds. To finish off, the children made their own small bird feeders, which they proudly hung up for the birds to enjoy.
It was a fun outdoor activity and the children absolutely loved getting outside!
