Year 2 - Trip To Lyme Regis

Year Two had an exciting trip to Lyme Regis! We began our day with our guide who taught us about different fossils. After that, we headed to the beach for our very own fossil hunt—everyone was thrilled to find ancient treasures hidden in the rocks! In the afternoon, we went to the museum, Mary Anning statue and grave, where we discovered fascinating facts about Mary Anning and the incredible fossils found along the Jurassic Coast.  During the day, we carried out a rubbish survey, where we learnt about the Victorian tip which is falling into the sea due to erosion. It was a fantastic, educational, and unforgettable day and the children were all a credit to the school.
