Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
What a fantastic week we've had in Year 4 celebrating our Love Where You Live theme!
The children have been busy getting creative with lots of different art activities, producing some wonderful pieces inspired by our local area. They also enjoyed a very special visit from Rossi's Ice Cream, where they learned all about the history of the company and, of course, had the opportunity to have some delicious ice cream!
Our learning continued with some fun ice cream-themed maths challenges, where the children used their problem-solving skills in a variety of practical activities. They also showed great patience and perseverance while sewing their own felt ice creams, developing their sewing skills and creating some fantastic handmade treats.
Despite the soaring temperatures this week, the children have been absolutely brilliant. They have remained positive, worked incredibly hard and shown great resilience throughout all of our activities. To help us keep cool in the exceptionally hot weather, everyone enjoyed a refreshing ice lolly, which was certainly appreciated by all. We are very proud of how well they have coped in such challenging weather.
