Year Two - planes and helicopters
We have had a very exciting week in Year 2!
In history, we started our new topic all about the history of flight. We made and explored different paper planes and tested how far they could fly. We had fun trying out different designs and seeing which ones worked best.
In design and technology, we looked at lots of different kinds of vehicles. We talked about how they move and what makes them work. This is helping us get ready to design and make our own moving vehicles later on.
In science, we learned about what plants need to grow. We set up a fair test using cress seeds. We think the seeds with water and sunlight will grow the best. We also planted our own seeds and are looking forward to watching them grow over the next few weeks.
The highlight of the week was the visit from a helicopter! We were so excited to see it land on the field. We loved going inside the helicopter and learning more about it. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget!
