Year Two - Swimming and Poetry
We are so proud of the fantastic effort Year 2 have shown this week!
In English, the children have been writing their own poems inspired by The Owl and the Pussycat. They have loved exploring rhythm and rhyme, and it has been wonderful to see them use these skills to create their own imaginative and creative alternative verses. The results have been lovely, and the children are very proud of their work.
Swimming continues to be a great success. It has been amazing to see how quickly the children have progressed in just a couple of weeks. Many who were initially hesitant are now swimming happily and joining in all the activities with smiles on their faces—well done to everyone!
In Maths, we have continued our work on telling the time, which is an area that many children find challenging. Please continue to support your child at home by practising reading clocks and discussing time in everyday situations—it really does make a big difference.
Finally, it has been so nice to enjoy some sunshine this week—it has certainly lifted everyone’s spirits!
