Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
On Tuesday afternoon, Year 1 headed up to the school pond to do a spot of pond dipping as part of our science topic on animals. The children were all very keen to use the nets and magnifying glasses. Once we'd set up, we dipped the nets in and were ready to go. Lots of excitement and anticipation all around! We were very lucky and with the first dip of the nets we managed to catch lots of newts hiding amongst the pond weed! The children worked really well with each other and were able to spot a few other creatures pulled out from the pond using the identification charts. What a fantastic afternoon at the pond, especially with the sun shining on us too!
