Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
What an exciting and busy week we have had! The week began with a lovely day making and investigating foil boats and painting a picture of Weymouth. The children were excited to be exploring different activities for the week.
The highlight was our trip to Lyme Regis. The children were exceptionally well behaved and polite to other people around Lyme Regis. They should feel proud of how they represented the school. The children enjoyed seeing places of significance to Mary Anning and particularly liked seeing her beautiful statue. The children completed some geography fieldwork and were able to see the impact of the eroding Victorian tip on the beach. The were facinated by the different fossils that could be found on the beach and all came home with something they had found. We had a glorious day for it and were all exhausted but had a fantastic day.
During the rest of Love Where You Live Week the children made a clay fossil, wrote about their trip, worked together gardening in the allotment and went pond dipping. They were very excited to find newts and a bright yellow toad.
