Happy, kind and brave.

Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.

Year 3 - Maths, Mammoths, and Movement

This week in English, we kicked off our instruction writing with a fun and imaginative task – washing our woolly mammoth! The children loved thinking through each step of the process, and it sparked some fantastic discussions.
In maths, we moved on to a new unit on addition and subtraction. The children especially enjoyed playing "I am thinking of a number," a game that got them thinking carefully about how they would word their questions using the facts they have learned about numbers!
Our science lesson focused on the process of soil separation. The children investigated how soils are made from a mix of stones, sand, clay and organic matter. They were hands-on with different soil samples and made some interesting discoveries!
In PE, we continued developing our gymnastics skills, focusing this week on jumps and movement. The children have been showing great progress and enthusiasm as they build their confidence and coordination.
