Year 5 - Air Resistance

As part of this term's science topic on forces, the children in 5T investigated the relationship between surface area and air resistance.

 

Working in groups, the children created different-sized parachutes and dropped them from the climbing frame in the playground, observing how fast they travelled to the ground.

 

They all did a fantastic job, impressing us with their scientific knowledge.
