Year 5 Cams Models
In our Design and Technology topic, the children in Year 5 have created moving toys with cam mechanisms.
The children have worked really hard to investigate, design and construct their moving toys. To begin with, each child made prototypes to investigate the movement of the various cams. They experimented with a range of cam mechanisms, including hexagonal and snail cams, in order to make their figures move up and down or round and round.
The children have really enjoyed the project and are very proud of their toys.
