Year 5 - Forces

Year 5 pupils have been investigating the force of friction this week.

 

The excellent experimenters attached force meters to wooden blocks and pulled them over different surfaces, measuring the force (in Newtons) generated by each one.

 

The children worked fabulously well together, and they all gained an understanding of the effect friction has on movement.
