Year 5 - Pulleys Investigation

In a bustling classroom filled with eager minds, Year 5 scientists embarked on a thrilling journey into the world of forces. Armed with curiosity and determination, they delved into the realm of physics by creating their very own pulleys.

With simple materials like string, cotton reels and paper cups, they constructed their miniature mechanical marvels. Through trial and error, they discovered the principles of force multiplication and how pulleys can make lifting heavy objects easier.

With each tug of the string and each adjustment of the pulley, the young scientists witnessed firsthand the magic of mechanical advantage. These budding scientists not only learned about forces but also honed their problem-solving skills and nurtured their passion for discovery.
