Year Two - Capacity and Nature Reserve
It has been so lovely to see the sunshine this week and we have enjoyed getting outside. In Nature Reserve time we looked at different trees and began to name them. We looked at diferent types of bark, plants that grow on trees and explored trees that are evergreen or deciduous. We then used charcoal from the fire pit to sketch our favourite tree. The children looked carefully at all of the detail and enjoyed using the charcoal.
In Maths we have been measuring the capacity and volume of different containers. We went outside and used the water trays to measure accurately and then compared the capacity. We had great fun in our groups using the water.
