  • Year 2 - Watch this space!

    Fri 26 May 2023 FProbert

Finally, the space has been filled!

The D.T. Moving Vehicles models are finished and are moving to a home near you!

The children have worked exceptionally hard as designers and producers! They chose their own client from a selection of clients. They then had to design their vehicle according to the brief set out.

All of the Year 2 staff are so very proud of the children for they have worked tremendously hard with their writing in English. If you fancy listening to a bedtime story, ask them to tell you about Saint George and the Dragon.

We wish you all a very sunny half- term break.

  • Year 5 - Production

    Thu 25 May 2023

The Year 5 pupils had a fabulous time performing their production, ‘A Brilliant Tour of the United Kingdom’.

After entertaining the staff and children in two dress rehearsals earlier this week, the performers were extremely excited to present their play to parents and carers on Wednesday. Looking fantastic in their costumes, they delivered their lines beautifully, and sang and danced... brilliantly! After rehearsing so hard, it was great to finally perform!

Thank you to all the parents and carers for providing such perfect costumes and for supporting the staff and the children so enthusiastically during the show. We all appreciate it hugely!

  • National Numeracy Day

    Wed 24 May 2023

Well done to all the children who entered the National Numeracy Day competition! The challenge was the draw themselves doing a future dream job and write ways in which they would use maths and numbers. We had some lovely pictures and thoughtful writing, well done everyone.

  • Reception Readers -Little Wandle Reading practice

    Tue 23 May 2023

Three times a week our Reception Reading superstars have a reading practice session.

They sound out the words to read a sentence, then read it with expression, before talking all about the story and understanding it.

The children read at home 5 times a week and as a reward collect their reading badges at the end of each half term.

We are so proud of them!

  • Year 2 -The 3 C's

    Fri 19 May 2023 FProbert

Creative, Collaborative and Children using Chronological order.

The children have continued to be busy bees and their DT models are really starting to take shape. They are still under wraps until the great reveal next week!

The children have been great Collabadons during our PSHE lessons where they identified who they can trust and how trust can be kept and lost.

In our English and Reading lessons we have been studying the story of St George and the Dragon. One activity that we did was to sequence the story words or pictures in chronological order.

In Maths, we completed our topic on Time. Please do ask the children the time whenever you can. It can be a tricky topic and the more they have a go, the better they will become!
