  • Year 2 Sports Day

Fri 18 Jul 2025 Mrs Mutch

What a busy week we have had this week! All of the children have enjoyed taking part in sports day. It was lovely to see them cheering each other on, whilst being watch by parents and family. They were all fantastic at persevering and trying their best.

In English this week the children have been writing their own alternative fairy tale. They have worked hard on planning, writing and presenting their stories. We hope you enjoy sharing them with your child when they bring them home next week.

During nature reserve time the child enjoyed painting a watercolour and making a book mark using natural objects. They worked hard to make careful observations of the world around them.

We hope you all have an enjoyable restful summer.

  • Year 5 - Swimming Gala

    Thu 17 Jul 2025

5R and 5T came together for a fantastic morning of swimming fun at our Year 5 Gala! The children took part in a variety of exciting races and pool-based activities, showing great enthusiasm and team spirit. It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on and celebrating each other's efforts. Whether swimming fast or trying something new, every child gave it their best and had a brilliant time. A big well done to all our swimmers for making it such a memorable event!

  • Year One - Our Esplanade Trip

    Thu 10 Jul 2025 Mrs I

This week we went on a trip down to the Esplanade.
It was a lovely day, and the sea looked really inviting.

We looked at a map and followed the Esplanade. We stopped at Greenhill Gardens and made a wish in the wishing well. Next, we drew a hotel on Brunswick Terrace.

After that, it was definitely snack and drink time! We wandered on and saw the Jubilee Clock, and we talked about the bathing machine and King George’s statue.

We had a lovely day out — but honestly, the best bit was catching the coach home!

  • Year 3 Residential Day 1

    Tue 08 Jul 2025

The children have had a fantastic first day so far. After an exciting and short coach trip, the children got straight into some activities.

They amazed us with their orienteering skills, and it was a great for them to get to know the site and work on their map skills.

They also had the opportunity to explore a variety of historical sources from stone age to the Roman age. It was great to see them learning about history in such a hands-on way.

Dinner has gone down well with lots of clean plates and a very yummy pudding was enjoyed by all.

We are looking forward to stories, a campfire tonight, a good night's sleep and another busy day tomorrow.

  • Year 5 - Local Area Litter Pick

    Mon 07 Jul 2025

As part of our school’s Love Where You Live Week, Year 5 pupils took to the streets of Weymouth to help keep our local area clean and beautiful. Armed with litter pickers, gloves, and big smiles, the children collected rubbish from parks, pavements, and green spaces. Their hard work made a real difference and reminded everyone how important it is to care for our environment. The pupils showed great teamwork and pride in their community. Well done, Year 5 – you’ve helped make Weymouth a cleaner, greener place for everyone!

  • Year One - Under the sea Dance

    Thu 03 Jul 2025 Mrs I

On Monday and Tuesday, the children were treated to a special visit from Carly, a professional dance teacher. With music, movement, and a whole lot of imagination, they all created a sea-themed dance.

Scarves became swishy seaweed, jellyfish floated through the air, and they all transformed into underwater creatures. It was a joy to watch their creativity come to life—and the smiles said it all!

A big thank you to Carly. We can’t wait to dance again soon!

  • Year Two - Love Where You Live Week

Wed 02 Jul 2025 Mrs Mutch

What an incredible week we’ve had celebrating our beautiful local area during Love Where You Live Week! From painting to exciting adventures, every day was packed with fun and learning.

We began by painting the stunning Weymouth seafront, looking at the colourful Georgian houses. Our creativity continued as we made the Jubilee clock out of clay, then carefully painted them. We loved watching the traditional Punch and Judy show, which had us all laughing and cheering!

In science, we explored floating with a foil boat-making experiment. The winning design impressed everyone by holding an amazing 119 cubes!

Tuesday took us on a fantastic trip to Tumbledown Farm. We discovered the plants and creatures that call it home and learned about their environment. We also delved into the Geography and History of Weymouth, uncovering fascinating facts—did you know the harbour once stretched all the way to Radipole, where there used to be a sandy beach?

We’ve learned so much about where we live and had a brilliant time doing it. We truly do love where we live!
