Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This week the Year 2’s have been working very hard in all of their subjects. In ICT, they started a new topic on Internet safety. The children have been learning how to send emails, and how to respond to them safely (all under the careful protected program in Purple Mash).
In PE, they were all excited to have had a go at the parachute challenges.
This week was the last week in our writing to entertain topic in English. The children are now becoming great experts on using the expanded noun phrase. Their character descriptions have been sensational.
Friday brought all of the children into school in colourful clothing to support the charities included in Children in Need. Thank you for all of your donations.
We have now begun with our Christmas production rehearsals, and are delighted that parents have been helping their children learn their lines for any speaking parts.
Christmas is coming and year one have started their Christmas production. We have started singing our songs and learning words for the show. Everyone is beginning to get prepared and we have started practising in the hall.
We are going to re-tell the story of the nativity and we can't wait to slap on the make-up and costumes!
Show Time is coming everyone!!
This week we have flown off into Space in our Roleplay rocket and space suits.
We have made junk rockets, play dough aliens and made chalk space pictures.
We have designed rockets and space ships using construction kits and collage.
We’ve found out about the moon......I wonder what we will find out next week?
Year 5 pupils had a terrific time in the nature reserve and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh air and autumn sunshine - especially after so much wind and rain recently! After another successful week of learning, the children were ready to spend some well-earned time outside, playing imaginative games, building dens and exploring the woods. Congratulations to all the children who won the den building competition!
This week we have been looking for shapes in our indoor and outdoor environments.
We have made pictures with shapes, on paper, on the computer and with our bodies.
what shapes can you find?
This week a Year 6 football team played an away friendly against Holy Trinity. They worked collaboratively, persevered until the final whistle, reflected at half time and were great examples of sportsmanship from beginning to end.
This week, after planning and working on the necessary grammar skills, year 5 began writing their non-chronological reports on their chosen species of dragon. Have a look at the example in the photograph.
We have had a lovely afternoon in the school nature reserve, especially as the sun was shinning. The children found pretty coloured leaves to decorate their own Autumn crown. This was our final activity to round off our topic of Autumn. The children now seem so much more knowledgeable about the season.
Well done to all the children who received certificates for showing one of the learning dinosaurs and The Radipole Way.
There were a lot of Collabadon certificates given out and a special well done needs to be said to the Year 6 Football Team who represented the school so well on Thursday in their match against Holy Trinity.
The Radipole Reading Worm has gone to...2MH AGAIN! With a massive 80% of the children in 2MH reading five or more times this week and recording it on Boom Reader.
Today is the 11/11 which marks Remembrance Day across the country.
In order to show out respect the children had an assembly on Wednesday all about Remembrance Day, and today we took part in a whole school minutes silence. It is lovely to see so many of the children wearing poppies.
The children were exceptionally respectful and reflective. They were wonderful Reflectadons! We could not have been prouder of them. Well done!
