  • Year 6 Residential Day 2

    Wed 04 Jun 2025

Day 2 has been another busy great day.

We started the day by exploring We the Curious - a science museum. We did a fantastic workshop all about levers, pulleys and gears. We then got to go to the planetarium where we learnt about moons and the planets in our solar system. Next we explored all the great hands on exhibits - we really enjoyed the stop-motion animation, spinning and the bubbles.

We then went to M Shed to learn a bit about the history and geography of Bristol harbour.

After that we enjoyed dinner at the hostel before heading off to see War Horse at the theatre. War Horse was good and loud with some great puppetry and explosions.

    Another very busy day.

  • Year 6 Residential Day 1

    Tue 03 Jun 2025

What a busy first day we have had!

We started off with a great trip to Longleat. We loved seeing all the animals on the safari - the giraffes were a real highlight. We then had a lovely boat trip where we saw monkeys, gorillas and sea lions. We also saw koalas, crocodiles and a very slow sloth.

Once we were all settled into our accommodation, we headed out to an amazing all-you-can-eat restaurant. We 'wowed' our teachers with our manners and had a very tasty tea.The ice cream machine was a big hit!

Next was a walk up a big hill to take in the evening views of Bristol.

All very tired and off to bed after a very busy day.
