Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Year 3 have been brilliant sketch artists recently! We studied some sketches by Van Gogh, practised drawing eyes, noses, mouths and getting the proportions of a face right. We then did a self-portrait from black and white photos we took. The results were fabulous, well done Year 3!
What a first week back! Congratulations to all the children that have completed their MTC this week. No more daily times table practice! However, we will still continue weekly practices to ensure we don't forget them after working so hard on them. This week, we have started lots of new topics including Watercolour Landscapes in Art, States of Matter in Science and Humanism in RE. We have also be emersed into the story of The Man who Walked Between the Towers. Retelling the story orally this week was an exciting challenge. We are really looking forward to Leeson House next week.
Tuesday was a very rainy afternoon, so we weren’t able to go outside. Instead, we made the most of our time by using the hall. The teachers set up the apparatus, and the children had great fun exploring it.
They enjoyed balancing and climbing on the different pieces of equipment, moving around and showing off their balancing and climbing skills.
All the children had lots of fun staying active indoors!
