Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Year 3 have been discussing all the things we enjoy about the internet, and how to stay safe on the internet.
We have looked at what passwords are, why they are important and how to create a strong password.
We created a class blog to record all of our ideas. Well done to the children for their great contributions 👍
Year 4 are really fortunate to have a coach for lacrosse this half term. They had their first session with the coach today where the children were learning how to pick up the ball with the lacrosse sticks. They were doing a great job!
We are so pleased to be involved in the Coop Food Share.
Mrs Turnbull does a fantastic job in sharing the food with the Radipole community. Not only does it avoid unnecessary waste, it is also a huge help to so many who struggle financially.
Thank you Mrs Turnbull! You are a star
We have started looking at some Traditional Tales. Goldilocks was our first story. We have re-told the tale and written some sentences about the events in the story. We have worked to include capital letters and full stops in our writing.
We have also learnt this week how to add -er and -est to words to compare. eg strong, stronger, strongest.
Do you have any Traditional Tales at home?
What are the characters names?
Which is your favourite story?
How do the stories often start and end?
On Monday, storyteller, Daniel Moredon, came to visit Year 6. In the session children wrote their own riddles. Here are some...

And a sticky stalk.

Alert aviators.
Brilliant brancher.
Elongated ends.

Pin-prick peepers.
What am I?
On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 went to the pavilion to watch Daniel perform- what a treat!
This week Year 5 had a fantastic trip to the Pavilion to listen to an amazing storyteller, Daniel Morden, at the Children's Book Show. We thoroughly enjoyed his storytelling and his love for the English Language! A wonderful experience picturing a whole story only through words. Every child also left with a copy of Tales from the Caribbean by Trish Cooke.
This Monday, year 4 enjoyed a themed Anglo-Saxon day. We dressed in historical clothing and participated in a range of exciting activities organised by our visiting historian, Harold. We practised writing in runes, played traditional games, took part in an Anglo-Saxon legal trial and learnt how to use different types of weapons and shields.
This term we have tried to get more familiar with 'Purple Mash'.
We have learnt how to log on and change our own avatars. Searching for things has been fun, and we have explored staying safe on the internet. We have had a great time using the drawing tools and trying to save our own work.
Another visit to the Nature Reserve to build dens for small woodland creatures that may be cold at night.
The children were Colabadons and Careadactyls this afternoon.
it had been raining so it was muddy and sticky! We loved it.

Well done to all the children who received certificates in assembly today for showing The Radipole Way.
Not only did we have all our learning dinosaur certificates to hand out, we also had 37 certificates for all those children who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge (run by Dorset Libraries).
We also our very first Key Stage 2 Word Millionaire certificate (a child who has read over a million words this half term). Keep those quizzes on Accelerated Reader going, and hopefully we will have lots more Word Millionaires.
