Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.

This week we have been learning all about Chinese or Luna New Year.
We have loved the story The Great Race’ and all the animals from the zodiac calendar.
We have acted out the story, painted pictures of the characters and used new words such as sly, thoughtful, distracted and collaborative to describe them.
We have made lanterns and dragons to dance with. We even made noodles. It has been fabulous.
On Thursday, the football team played a friendly against St George's. They played with team-spirit, determination and 100% effort. Well done boys and girl on your 1-1 draw!
The Year 5 children have impressed all the adults this week with their incredible work on short division.
The magnificent mathematicians have used the method successfully in their calculations, and they have thought more deeply about it through a series of tricky reasoning problems.
Well done, Year 5!
Over the last few weeks, Year 6 have explored a range of Greek myths. Then, planned, wrote, edited and rewrote their very own. Here are some of their beginnings...
What a fabulous week! On Tuesday, the children had a fantastic morning being super explorasauruses. The children, along with many parents, were introduced to the Times Tables Rock Stars site where they learned to login and explore the Jamming and Garage activities.
Even though the children were only introduced to the X and ÷ symbols this week, they certainly rocked it! During our open morning, the children explored different activities used to developed their understanding of multiplication and division. They created multiplication arrays, and number lines .They also matched arrays to calculations and repeated addition, Whether it was their amazing costumes, or the support of their parents and careers, the children were sensational. A big SHOUT OUT to the parents and carers who could make it. We thank you!
In PSHE this week, the children had to work hard with our other Learning Dinosaur – the Collabadon. The children were encouraged to work in teams to create one piece of work. It took a lot of patience, give and take, and respect for each other to succeed in this task. It was a great challenge, yet they managed it! Well done Year 2!
Year 5 pupils had a rocking time celebrating Times Tables Rock Stars Day this week.
The young rockers had a bodacious morning playing some times tables games in class, and they amazed all of us not only with their mathematical skills but also with their incredible costumes.
Thank you to the parents and carers who came in to lend their support.
Rock on!
On Tuesday this week, we opened the doors, dressed up and launched a Battle of the Bands (Year 5 v Year 6) on Times Table Rock Stars. During our maths session, we completed a variety of multiplication games and had a blast! We will keep you posted on the results of the battle. Watch this space...
We have been learning all about the senses in science. This week, we have carried out a variety of activities including sound clip bingo, feely bags, smelling pots of a variety of things and looking closely at our own eyes. Perhaps you could work with your child at home to explore different things that stimulate their senses.
Radipole held a Rock Star day today and what a wonderful effort from all the staff, children and parents! So many parents came in to play times tables games in the classroom with their children.

Today, we have made our fruit kebabs. We first tasted lots of different fruits and decided which ones would go best on our kebabs.
Strawberries and melon were the most popular ingredients.
We used knives to cut the fruit and had fun making the finished kebabs.
Finally, we tasted them...... Yummmm!!! Most of us thought they were delicious!!!
