Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This week in the nature reserve we created our own natural artwork of Stone Age creatures. We saw some great teamwork as they created the beasts - What brilliant Collabadons!!
We had a long discussion about how we thought the world was made. We explained that Christians believe that God created the world in seven days. The children practised retelling the story and used a picture wheel to help them.
They had some really interesting ideas about how the world began.
Year 6 were so lucky to have Reuben Edwards visit them for a D-Day experience! Reuben was so knowledgeable about the military and D-Day that we learnt so much. He even brought enough uniform so the whole class to recreate the landings!
This week in Year 3, we edited, improved and copied up our prehistoric animal descriptions to make some amazing classroom displays. In our ICT lesson, we continued with our coding. This time we designed our own airports and created an algorithm to make our aircraft fly in different directions.
This week we read The Colour Monster Book to help us describe and recognise our feelings. We have been making faces and acting out when we are happy, sad, angry, loved, frightened etc.
Yesterday, we made emotions faces with natural materials in the Nature Reserve. We all had happy faces there. 😀
This half term we have been working on our gymnastic skills in Year 5! What fantastic effort the children have put in to creating wonderful sequences, balances, shapes, rotations and flight! Well done, Year 5.
This week, Year 2 had a visit from Reverand Nick, who told the story of Bartimaeus the blind man. The children then discussed how Christians show kindness and how they can show kindness to others. We certainly have lots of very kind and caring children in Year 2!
