Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Year 4 have made a fabulous start to their new year! They all looked super smart in their Radipole uniforms and PE kits and have worked very hard.
In maths, we have been using Base 10 equipment to help us understand place value to 1,000 and beyond.
In English, we have started reading the book Beowulf to link in with our history topic on Anglo-Saxons and to practise writing expanded noun phrases.
In PE we have enjoyed some hockey.
Well done to all the children for their positive attitudes and hard work, keep it up 😃 😇 😎 🌞
Wow, what wonderful, kind, respectful and hard-working role models we have in Year 6. They have started their final year at Radipole in a calm and mature manner appearing to take everything in their stride. Already experiencing a local trip to St Anne's grave yard to foster curiosity and pose questions after seeing the RAF grave stones. In addition, we started our PSHE leaning this term with a team building activity: making a bridge with only newspaper and sellotape.
We have welcomed all our new Reception to Radipole this week and they have been amazing! Long, hot days with lots to learn and they have been so happy and curious. Here are a few pictures of what life in Reception has looked like this week.....
In Year 5's first week at school, students embarked on an exciting journey of learning and teamwork. They delved into Design and Technology (DT), where they harnessed collaboration and creativity to construct brilliant bridges. Through brainstorming, problem-solving, and hands-on building, they laid the foundation for a year filled with innovation and growth.
The children have loved being back in school this week. We have seen lots of smiley faces and children excited to be reunited with their friends and into their new year 2 classrooms. As you can see art was a favourite this week.
We have had a busy time getting used to being back at school.
The children have enjoyed working outside and writing and talking about what they have done in the summer holidays.
They have heard a story about a pirate called Pete and made eye patches. We have been on a treasure hunt in the Nature Reserve and looked for things that Pete the Pirate has left behind.
Did you spot his parrot or his hat?
This week we had our English lesson in the Nature Reserve. We looked for -est words. The children had the task of finding the smallest, smoothest, spikiest, etc objects in the woods. They found a great variety of things and surprised us with even more -est words.
We had a lot of fun!
We would like the opportunity to thank all the parents for their support and help this year.
Kind regards
Year 1 Team.
On the Monday of the last week of term, Year 6 spent the day experiencing a range of secondary lessons: science (heart dissection), English (Emily Bronte poem) and PE (a choice of rounders or tennis). The school was welcoming, the children had an insight of secondary school life and the they had fun.
It seems that suddenly the year has come to an end and the children are thinking of moving on.
We are so proud of the progress that they have made this year. They are almost ready to have their summer break and make the transition to their new Year 3 classes.
This week the children have reflected on their Love Where We Live week and painted their clay Jubillee Clocks. We think these would look great on a Christmas tree or on a window.
In PSHE, they have been reflected on how they have changed and what they are looking forward to next year. In their final lesson of PE, the children took all of their skills and knowledge and created their own games to play.
Year 3 enjoyed a lovely swimming gala morning this week! There were races for all the strokes, underwater, best handstand, longest mushroom float, craziest dancer and lots more!
Well done to the children for their super efforts
