Happy, kind and brave.
Together we learn, together we grow, together we soar.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Friday, we went into the nature reserve and made little clay hedgehogs. We discussed the features of a hedgehog and how they find a good place to sleep for the winter! The children made places for their clay hedgehogs to hibernate and they gave their hedgehog a name. We all had a lovely afternoon.
What a fabulous week at dinoschool! The dinosaurs have been back, ruling the earth again.
We have dinosaur skeletons, dinosaur junk models and dinosaur shape pictures.
We also made a very unhealthy sandwich - one that not even the hungriest dinosaur would eat. We decided to put it in the bin and make a healthy one.
Year 2 have had great fun exploring our new DT topic of moving vehicles. We tried making our own axles with moving wheels!
The Year 4 samba club has started really well! Super rhythm, listening, concentration and coordination (and lots of smiles) from all the children 🥁🎶😁
The children in Year 5 had a fabulous morning in the school's nature reserve, taking part in survival activities, led by Mrs Surtees.
They practised lighting fires with flint and striking sticks, and they used axes and mallets to chop wood for use as kindling. They also took part in activities around the reserve, such as den building, searching for bugs and insects, and team-building exercises.
They all had a wonderful time and can't wait to return for another session.
Year 6 ventured into the nature reserve to use the natural resources to consolidate their knowledge of 2D shapes.
This is a copy of the Year 4 presentation about Leeson House. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Year 3 enjoyed a wonderful start to their geography topic on Brazil, with a fantastic session of samba and capoeira fighting dance! Many thanks to Amélie's mummy for coming in and leading a fun, energetic and creative morning. We really appreciate it!
The children enjoyed the challenge of creating a paper sculpture using a variety of techniques including; bending, folding, twisting, rolling, cutting and joining. They created a 3D model and they worked independently to make their structures stand unaided.
Fabulous Year 1
